Curcuma xanthorrhiza, (Curcuma Lady) is traditionally used in Asia in women with various syndromes of menstrual molimina. It has anti-inflammatory properties and its cramp-relaxing effect relieves womb pains before and during menstruation. Effective for having a regular menstrual cycle, for adjusting blood flow, in treating leucorrhea (fluor albus) and painful intercourse. Curcuma xanthorrhiza is also used for cleansing the birth canal and tightening the vagina after giving birth. It also helps to relieve menopausal conditions in elderly women such as vaginal dryness, loss of sexual desire, hot flashes and mood swings.
